ORANG NATIONAL PARK

Orang National Park is a wild place that is famous among people, especially wildlife enthusiasts because of the sightings of the wildlife population living inside it. This park was formerly known as the Rajiv Gandhi Orang National Park. It was established as a wildlife sanctuary back in 1985 and a national park in the year 1999. Now, it is known as Orang National Park or the mini Kaziranga National Park. It is located in the Darrang and Sonitpur districts which are close to Kaziranga, just around 100 km and 140 km from Guwahati. This park covers a huge area of 79 sq. km and people can explore this area by going on thrilling safari rides inside it. Orang National Park mostly offers sightings of animals such as the Indian One Horned Rhinoceros or the ferocious Royal Bengal Tiger. Along with them, people can spot animals such as Asiatic elephants, pygmy hog deer, leopards, sambar deer, and many more.
