Do's and Don'ts

DO’S IN KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

Follow the Park rules. Non-obedience can lead to legal action.
You have to get a Permit from authorities to enter the Park.
Don’t ask the Driver to increase the speed of the Vehicle. The recommended speed inside the park is 20 km/h.
It is compulsory to take an official guide with every safari.
For safety reasons, listen to what your guide says and always obey them.
You’re in the territory of animals and they have the right of the way so you have to wait if they are crossing the road.
Always carry a bottle of drinking water with you.
If you’re going to ride an elephant then wait for your turn to embark, and obey the mahout.
You have to maintain silence and discipline in the park. By doing so your safari experience will enhance.

During your exploration, if you find any kind of undesirable or suspicious activities then inform the nearest forest officer/employee.
Try to wear light-colored clothes that will blend with nature during the excursion.

DON’TS IN KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

Don't try to enter the Park with firearms/explosives.
Don't carry cigarettes or a matchbox inside the park premises.
Don’t smoke or lit fire, it can cause a forest fire.
Don't carry or play a transistor, tape recorder, or any other musical gadget.
Don't blow the horn inside the park as animals can get disturbed.
Don't throw cans, bottles, plastic bags, or any garbage inside the park. Dispose of them when you come out.
Don't get down from the safari, unless told by the guide.
Don't pluck flowers or any kind of forest property.
Don’t use strong-smelling perfumes or deodorants because animals are sensitive to smell. A strong fragrance can also attract bees or other insects around you.
Don't shoot with a gun, shoot with the camera, and take some good pictures.
Don't try to chase, tease, or feed animals.
