Best Time To Visit
November to February(winter)
Kaziranga National Park is a famous tourist spot that remains open from October to April for safari rides. You can visit here on any day in these months during visiting hours. However, the best time to visit is from November to February. This is the dry season and the weather is also good for going on gypsy and elephant safaris. These are the winter months and the temperate remains mild which is best for animal sightings. Many migratory birds also visit here during this time.
April to May(summer)
You can also visit this park during March and April, in these 2 months the weather becomes hot and because of that people might not like the rides. However, if you do not have a problem with the humidity and heat then this can be a good time for spotting animals because they come near water bodies to drink it. Don’t forget to wear comfortable cotton clothes and bring your sunscreen and water bottles with you.
June to September(monsoon)
The park remains closed from 1st May to 30th September because of heavy rain in the area. During this time the Kaziranga forest land gets under the flood water of the Brahmaputra as most of the area is around the Brahmaputra river floodplains.
